CONSULTANCY POLICY DOCUMENT

3.5.1.Policy of Institution on Consultancy

The institution does not provide consultancy services proper nor generate any fund out of it. In fact, it is in the formative stage in offering such services to the society around. The consultancy is provided by the college faculty on the gratuitous basis and no revenue is generated through consultancy services. Of course, the faculty of this institution offer their consultancy in divergent ways. As a part of their research work, the PG & Research Department of History meet the tribals in the Kodaikanal hills and create an awareness about the welfare schemes of the State Government.

The placement cell of our college communicates with the students to make them aware of the forth-coming competitive examinations and fulfill their requirements. The growing demand is fulfilled by improving the technical and soft skills of the students so as to enhance their employability skill. The cell, at times, designs the modules according to the requirement of the students. The institution keeps in touch with the alumni of the college who are presently working in the companies. The alumni make a visit now and then and offer their valuable suggestions regarding the career opportunities to the students. As per demand the bio-data of deserving candidates is also mailed to different companies directly by the institute.

The Institute has a consultancy cell, which includes the experts of all the departments, whose counselling provides guidance to the out-going students of U.G. & PG courses in selecting the appropriate stream in which they have interest and bright future. The students who wish to pursue research to obtain the degree of Ph.D., or M. Phil., are given consultancy. The college publicizes and advocates the expertise available for consultancy service by acting as resource persons in State and National level seminars and conferences. The college motivates the professionally qualified faculty to utilize their expertise for consultancy services with the permission of the institute.
